The Form ADV is a document filed with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) by Registered Investment Advisors. The form contains information about assets under management, types of fee arrangements, types of investments, other business activities, and advisor backgrounds.  A prospective client should always look at an investment advisor's Form ADV before investing with that advisor.
